Dutch trade mission to South-Africa for horticulture sector

EVD International (Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation) is organising a study tour to South-Africa, specifically for the Dutch horticulture sector. The South-African trip will be from the 15 to the 21 of April 2012 and is jointly organised by SANEC (South African Netherlands Chamber of Commerce), the Chamber of Commerce in The Hague, Greenport Holland International and the South African Agriculture Council in Pretoria.

For the first two days of the trip the group will stay in Johannesburg and Pretoria and on the final three days the province West-Cape and of course Cape-Town itself are on the list. The flights will be through KLM: the flight there is Amsterdam-Johannesburg on the 15th of April and the flight back is Cape-Town-Amsterdam on the 20th of April 2012. An overall itinerary has been made which will later be edited to the individual wishes of the participants. The main points are the visits to South African horticulture companies and the focus is on setting up and arranging greenhouses and supplying starting material for the horticulture. The organizers want to help Dutch horticulture businesses in making new contacts and intensifying current contacts. A visit to a South African horticulture fair is also provided. The base price for this trade mission is 950 euros, excluding VAT, but also excluding the travel and hotel fees. Registration is possible until the 31st of January 2012.
