Canada: New president to lead BCFGA

In just a mere couple of weeks, a new president will be voted on to lead the BC Fruit Growers Association. Current President Joe Sardinha has decided not to run after being involved with the BCFGA for 11 years saying it's time for something new. Sardinha is quite excited for the vote.

"Certainly the election does make things interesting. Both individuals running for president have been on the board as executives. They definitely have a taste and a flair for all that is involved with the positions. I look forward to the convention with a lot of interest in that regard."

Running for president is current vice-president Fred Steele and Kirpal Boparai. Nominations will still be accepted from the floor. The annual general meeting takes place January 26 and 27.
