Agriculture is potential

US: Investors expect higher food prices

Farmland has been called out one of the best inflation hedges by many investors. According to seeking alpha.com they expect that agricultural price increases are inevitable, and that demand for food will continue to grow at a rate outpacing the ability for technological advancements to farming to increase crop yields.

Long-term investors see huge potential in agricultural commodities, farmland and other methods of hedging potential currency devaluation or future commodity price spiking. Since commodity price fluctuations have become severe, investors anticipate on multiple commodities, including higher food prices.
