US: Limoneira is with highest gross margin

Below are the three companies in the Agricultural Products industry with the highest gross margins. Gross margin represents the amount of revenue retained after deducting direct costs associated with producing the goods or services which led to that revenue. The higher the gross margin as a percentage of revenue, the better.

Limoneira is highest with a gross margin of 40.8%. Limoneira Company grows, packs, processes, and markets agricultural products for national and international distribution. The Company's products include includes lemons, Navel and Valencia oranges, specialty citrus, avocados, pistachios, and cherries.

Limoneira share prices have moved between a 52-week high of $29.76 and a 52-week low of $13.50 and are now trading 28% above that low price at $17.24 per share. In the last five trading sessions, the 50-day moving average (MA) has fallen 0.3% while the 200-day MA has slid 0.4%. Alico is next with a gross margin of 30.1%.
