Italy: Aduno celebrates 20th anniversary
Founded in 1998, Aduno srl celebrated its 20th anniversary at Macfrut. In addition to a wide range of thermal screens, the company produces an entire range of technical fabrics for protected crops (shading, anti-insect, anti-hail nets) and aims at providing the best quality possible at the best price.
Sales are increasing both in Italy and abroad, so much so that Aduno is looking to attend more international fairs. FreshPlaza talked about future challenges with Elisabetta Pircher, Aduno owner together with Daniele Airoldi.
"Aduno was set up as a distributor in the produce, flower and nursery sectors. After gaining considerable technical experience and getting to know the market, grower and operator needs, it developed its own technical fabric range in 2012. BASIC5® is a complete range of technical screens."
"We try to combine high-quality products with a high-performance and resistance to wear and tear with fair prices. Our sales have been increasing on both the domestic and foreign market since 2012."
In 2016, Aduno took part as an exhibitor to leading fairs such as GreenTech in Amsterdam, Fruit Logistica in Berlin, Fruit Attraction in Madrid and Macfrut in Rimini.
"We aim at taking part in more fairs to as to promote our company as well as our products. We also want to establish as many personal contacts as possible with our interlocutors. We're not just talking about clients, but also final users and agronomists. This way, we can improve crops and make our products better known."
Aduno has also developed a special solution for the fresh-cut range:
BASIC5®COMBOSCREENS. "Fresh-cut products are particularly popular, therefore they need to be cultivated all year long. However, as they are typically winter products, they need shade and low temperatures between spring and autumn. This solution combines a cooling and shading screen with a purposely-developed shading net."
The combined use of two BASIC5® products in Spain and Italy enabled a lowering of temperatures by 3°C compared to traditional systems, letting through more air and guaranteeing a higher quality with a lower incidence of fungal diseases and yields above average.
Aduno parteciperà will take part in GreenTech in Amsterdam (12th-14th June 2018, stand 12.619) and Fruit Attraction in Madrid (23rd-25th October 2018).
