SUNSET Featuring Unique Tomatoes, Sustainable Packaging at PMA Fresh Summit
Looking to discover flavor? Then check out SUNSET®’s new Wild Wonders™, an exotic blend of colors and flavors to die for. Packed in their new Eco Flavor Bowl™, this tomato medley is ideal for creating unique dishes.
“Wild Wonders is a mix of cherry, grape and cocktail tomatoes with diverse shapes, colors and flavors,” explained Daniela Ferro of SUNSET. “We hand pick tomatoes that excel in both looks and taste to bring consumers a flavorful experience.” She added that they've also focused on developing sustainable packaging to conserve more resources and make the product more appealing at the same time.
“The SUNSET Eco Flavor Bowl™ is our unique new package that uses at least 20 percent less plastic than ordinary clamshells. Consumers can rinse and display in the same attractive bowl, which is ideal for setting on the counter and snacking,” said Ferro. “We always look for ways to reduce the amount of materials we use and ensure that what we do use is recyclable. Both retailers and consumers are extremely conscious of sustainable living and are actively seeking packaging that coincides with an environmental lifestyle.
The Eco Flavor Bowl is a finalist for the 2014 PMA Impact Award. What else can people expect from SUNSET® at this year’s Fresh Summit? “We’ve partnered with chef and blogger Nikki Dinki, who will be doing live cooking demos at our booth,” said Ferro. “Our Flavormobile will also be just outside the convention center, serving up amazing samples all weekend.” Ready to discover flavor?
