Uzbekistan expands seasonal fruit exports to Kuwait

In May and June 2025, Uzbekistan exported a total of 4.4 tonnes of fresh stone fruits to Kuwait, according to the Dunyo news agency.

In May alone, 3.2 tonnes of stone fruits were shipped to the Gulf country. As part of an agreement between the Bukhara-based company National Agroforte and Kuwait's Star Fruit Co., 1 tonne of fruit was delivered. Additionally, 1.5 tonnes of sweet cherries and apricots were exported to Suma Fruits International Co. under a separate deal. Another 0.5 tonnes of flat peaches and sweet cherries were supplied by S-Agro Termiz: Orchards to Star Fruit Co.

In June, National Agroforte (under the "MillMax" brand) dispatched another 1.2 tonnes of fruit, including sweet cherries, apricots, and different peach varieties, to Kuwait, again in collaboration with Star Fruit Co.

Established in 1991, Star Fruit Co. supplies fresh produce to restaurants and five-star hotels across Kuwait. The company maintains quality by using refrigerated transport and works with suppliers globally to ensure consistent deliveries.

Due to the absence of direct flights between Uzbekistan and Kuwait, shipments are currently routed through Istanbul and Dubai.

Uzbekistan continues to export fresh fruits to Kuwait based on seasonal availability.
