Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc. has announced a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Leagues Cup, designating the company as the official juice sponsor of the annual summer soccer competition. The Leagues Cup, now in its third year, is a tournament featuring clubs from Major League Soccer (MLS) and LIGA MX, held across the United States and Canada.
Under the agreement, Ocean Spray will be prominently featured throughout the tournament, including branded packaging and marketing campaigns. The sponsorship aligns with Ocean Spray's efforts to increase brand visibility in North America, leveraging the growing popularity of soccer in the region.
The partnership's first year will include a sweepstakes campaign running through July 6, 2025. Fans can participate by purchasing select Ocean Spray juice products, scanning their receipts, and uploading them to the company's sweepstakes website. Prizes include hundreds of items and a chance to win a trip to the Leagues Cup Final. The sweepstakes will also feature limited-edition packaging showcasing soccer-themed designs.
Carter Ladd, Chief Revenue Officer at Soccer United Marketing (SUM), emphasized that the partnership aims to enhance the tournament experience for fans while strengthening connections with the growing soccer community in North America. The Leagues Cup 2025 is scheduled from July 29 to August 31, featuring 36 clubs—18 from MLS and 18 from LIGA MX. Matches will be held across the United States and Canada, with a new two-phase format that includes exclusively interleague matchups through the Quarterfinals.
Ocean Spray's involvement will also include social media engagements, game-day recipes, and on-site events during the tournament. The company's branding will be visible at matches, and custom-designed packaging for its juice products will highlight the partnership.
