Hort Connections 2025 brings global horticulture to Brisbane

Hort Connections 2025 is set to impress growers and industry delegates with a diverse and engaging lineup of expert speakers at the Southern Hemisphere's largest horticulture event and trade show. Scheduled from June 4-6 at the Brisbane Convention Centre, this flagship event will offer a comprehensive program featuring Plenary and Trade Show Sessions, where the latest industry trends, breakthroughs, and insights from Australian and international experts will be explored.

The Plenary Sessions will showcase notable speakers, including Julius Joel, Director of the UK-based international horticulture business G's Group. With over 30 years of global agribusiness experience, Julius will share insights on G's Group's innovative approach to regenerative farming, technology adoption, market dynamics, and climate resilience. Joining Julius are world-renowned big wave surfer Mark Mathews and wildlife biologist and filmmaker Dr. Chadden Hunter, known for his work with Sir David Attenborough. Both will share their inspiring stories and experiences, captivating and motivating delegates.

Beyond the Plenary stage, the event will feature a stellar lineup of technical and subject matter experts during the Trade Show Speaker Sessions on Thursday and Friday. These sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, resilient farm systems, innovative packaging solutions, vegetable consumption, Ag-Tech advancements, and agribusiness trends. Among the experts is Dr. David Hughes, Emeritus Professor of Food Marketing at Imperial College London and a global authority on food industry trends, agribusiness, and retail.

Day one of Hort Connections will also provide delegates with the opportunity to participate in popular farm and retail tours across Southeast Queensland's horticulture industry. These tours offer firsthand insights into leading horticultural practices.

The finishing touches are being put on Hort Connections' industry-leading trade show, which will feature over 200 exhibitors showcasing the latest products, technologies, and innovations. Friday night will be highlighted by the Horticulture Awards for Excellence, recognizing outstanding achievements in the industry.

Jointly hosted by AUSVEG and the International Fresh Produce Association Australia-New Zealand (IFPA ANZ), Hort Connections 2025 will take place at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from June 4-6, welcoming delegates from around Australia, New Zealand, and the globe.
