Banana prices UK - Week 19:

Colombian, Panamanian banana prices rise 6% and 5%

Recent price data shows a notable increase in banana prices from Colombia and Panama. In Colombia, the average price of bananas rose from £1.04 per kilogram in the previous week to £1.10 in the current week, reflecting a £0.06 increase, which is approximately a 6% rise. This upward trend highlights a consistent price adjustment for Colombian bananas in the market.

Similarly, Panama experienced a price increase for its bananas. The average price rose from £1.10 per kilogram last week to £1.16 this week, a rise of £0.06, representing a 5% increase. In contrast, banana prices from other European countries remained stable, showing no significant changes compared to the previous week. This stability contrasts with the notable increases observed for Colombian and Panamanian bananas.
