In the first quarter of 2025, Uzbekistan earned $282.6 million from the export of fruit and vegetable products, marking a 28.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to the National Statistics Committee.
Despite the rise in export value, the physical volume of shipments declined. From January to March 2025, Uzbekistan exported 282,500 tonnes of fruit and vegetables, 27.6% less than in Q1 2024. This suggests higher prices or a shift toward exporting more valuable produce.
Fruit and vegetables accounted for 3.5% of the country's total exports in Q1 2025.
Key export items included fresh and dried fruits like raisins, prunes, grapes, apricots, apples, and persimmons, as well as vegetables such as cabbage, onions, tomatoes, and carrots.
Uzbekistan remains one of the world's top exporters of dried apricots and raisins.
