Kazakhstan's Deputy PM Serik Zhumangarin met with Kyrgyz Minister Bakyt Torobaev to discuss trade cooperation.
Both sides noted strong growth in trade and economic cooperation. In 2024, mutual trade reached $1.7 billion.
Zhumangarin proposed concrete steps to boost economic ties, including expanding the list of traded goods. He stated that Kazakhstan is ready to increase exports of 195 product types worth over $260 million.
The officials also highlighted the importance of business forums and trade missions in strengthening trade relations.
One key focus was agriculture. The two countries discussed increasing shipments of early fruits and vegetables from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan.
They further explored ways to simplify rail transportation procedures and addressed other areas of cooperation.
