Miami-based grower, shipper, and marketer Alpine Fresh, LLC kicks off its organic Sweet Karoline® blackberry season. Harvesting is underway, and the first shipments crossed from Mexico last week. While the conventional Sweet Karoline® blackberry season has already been in motion, the organic program has now begun, promising the same exceptional quality and flavor customers have come to expect.
The organic Sweet Karoline blackberries are marketed under Alpine's Hippie Organics brand, adding to its vibrant lineup of premium organic produce.
Sweet Karoline blackberries are known for their sweet and fantastic flavor, making it hard not to eat the entire clamshell before it makes it home. This premium variety boasts a higher Brix level than any other blackberry, setting it apart in both taste and consumer loyalty.
"We're thrilled to see the first organic fruit hitting the market," said Walter Yager, CEO at Alpine Fresh. "Our growers have done a phenomenal job, and we're expecting strong, promotable volumes as we head into the end of April—just in time for Mother's Day and Memorial Day promotions."
Peak volume is forecasted throughout May, providing ample opportunity for our retail and food service partners to feature Sweet Karoline's organic blackberries in seasonal promotions. The organic season will continue through mid-June, offering a steady supply of flavorful fruit.
