Durian prices have dropped from P50 to P20 in Davao City

In Davao City, durian prices have dropped from P50 to P20 per kilo due to an influx of the fruit. Francis Dulgohan, a vendor, mentioned the necessity to sell 80 percent of their stock daily to accommodate for the anticipated increase in supply, which is expected to double by tomorrow. Last week, durians were seen selling for P50 along Jose P. Laurel Avenue, capturing widespread attention. The Magsaysay Fruit Vendors Association anticipates that the high supply will persist until early November, potentially leading to further price reductions. Normally, durian prices range between P250 to P290 per kilo outside the durian season. The association offers a variety of durian types, including Monthong, Arancillo, Native, Duyaya, D101, D24, Kob, and Puyat.
