Fruits from South Ossetia, particularly apples, are gaining increasing popularity in the Russian market.
According to Levan Bekoev, Director of the "Southern Garden" enterprise, the area of apple orchards has significantly expanded in recent years, leading to increased harvest volumes and shipments to Russia.
He refuted rumours about issues with exporting and confiscation of trucks carrying apples, stating that such claims circulating on social media are false and damage the region's reputation.
Bekoev added that the enterprise is not only expanding its apple orchards but also plans to introduce other fruit varieties.
