Over the past decade, Aldi's organic food sales have experienced significant growth. According to internal research, 18% of shopping baskets contained at least one organic product last year, which means the chain sold 5.63% more organic products than in 2022.
Aldi, one of the first supermarket chains in Spain to sell organic products in the country, has strengthened its offer in this segment over the years. Aldi currently has a 9.6% of the country's organic products market share. The chain offers nearly 490 organic products, most under its own brand.
All these products have the EU organic farming label, which guarantees they comply with European organic production, processing, and distribution standards.
The supermarket chain's pricing policy has played a crucial role in making organic products more accessible, allowing more consumers to include them in their daily diets. With partnerships with over 400 Spanish suppliers, Aldi aims to offer a complete, easy, simple, and cost-effective shopping experience. The company continues to review its processes and products to ensure a high-quality offer and competitive prices, reducing the prices of more than 450 products in recent months, with discounts of up to 50%.
