The inspection work out by the Agricultural Defense Agency of Bahia (Adab) follows the flow in the Territory of Piemonte Norte do Itapicuri. The team made up of state agricultural inspectors from Suely Brito and Antônio Belitardo, as well as biologist Leonardo Magalhães and doctoral student at the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC), Emili Rane, is focusing on detecting regulated pests for Citrus Canker and Citrus HLB .
The actions were developed in a field in Lima Ácida Tahiti, in the Irrigated Perimeter of Ponto Novo. Among the registered phytosanitary occurrences: White Fly of Citrus, Grease Spot, Mining Larva and Aphids. On the occasion, Belitardo presented the symptoms of Black Sigatoka, a pest present in Bahian banana plantations since 2015, to the producers, commenting on the procedures provided for in the Risk Mitigation System (SMR).
