Dole's own banana farm is situated in Mindanao, known as the "hometown of bananas" in the Philippines. Mindanao's monsoon tropical rainforest climate provides ideal conditions for growing bananas. Dole Super Sweet Bananas are cultivated in highland farms located above 500m sea level. The average annual temperature on the farm is around 23°C, lower than that of lowland farms. This unique environment and climate result in a growth cycle of approximately 90 days longer than that of Dole's lowland bananas. Each Super Sweet Banana undergoes around 365 days of growth and sugar accumulation, culminating in soft and delicious fruit.

Due to this extended growth cycle, the Brix level of the Super Sweet Banana reaches approximately 23. The fructose content in bananas rapidly replenishes energy, making them an excellent supplement for sports competitions.
