The Ambassador of Sudan announced negotiations on launching direct flights with Russia

Sudan is looking to expand its exports to Russia. "Negotiations are ongoing to launch direct flights between the African country and Russia", stated The Sudanese Ambassador to Moscow.

The difference in seasons between the countries allows Sudan to export fresh fruit and vegetables during the winter months. Sudan has around 60 types of mangoes, grapefruits, and oranges.

At present, Khartoum and Moscow are working on the logistics of the exports to Russia. Discussions have been held with Russian authorities and Sudanese carriers to launch direct communication.

"When it is launched, the trade will increase, as there will be more business delegations," added the diplomat.
