In a context where water is becoming increasingly scarce and must be preserved, Fastnaet has developed a system that drastically reduces the consumption of this precious resource when equipment is being cleaned.
“It all started when I was visiting a client who is a golf course owner. Specialized in the production of compressed air and high pressure water, he asked me to invent a fast and efficient system that would allow golfers to clean their shoes without damaging them, without removing them, without the need to turn off the water, while requiring only a minimum of water.”
This is how the Fastnaet innovation was created: a nozzle that allows the defragmentation of gas/liquid energies, increasing the impact speed and homogeneity of the gas/liquid mixture on the surfaces during application, while respecting energy savings and the environment.
Fastnaet is a combination of “fast” and “clean” (naet in Breton). Based in Brittany, this French company has made water saving and cleaning efficiency its spearhead. Fastnaet has quickly conquered the golf course market. But beyond the borders of this recreational activity, excessive water consumption is unfortunately common to many industries. The fruit and vegetable sector is no exception. “Astronomical quantities of water are used to wash fruit and vegetables. Many use a washing system that pumps between 35 and 60L of water per minute, which is considerable. Thanks to our invention, we can reduce this consumption to between 5 and 15L of water per minute.”
Such savings are encouraged by the French government, which has made several million euros of aid available to companies of the fruit and vegetable sector in order to encourage them to invest in high water-saving equipment.
