Apple utilized production in Oregon and Washington down 10 percent from 2021

In Oregon, apple utilized production totaled 136 million pounds in 2022, down 11 percent from the previous year. Value of utilized production was $40.8 million, down 16 percent from 2021. In Washington, apple utilized production totaled 5.89 billion pounds in 2022, down 10 percent from the previous year. Value of utilized production was $2.07 billion, up 3 percent from 2021.

Sweet Cherries
In Oregon, sweet cherry utilized production totaled 31,840 tons in 2022, down 28 percent from the previous year. Value of utilized production was $68.3 million, up 5 percent from 2021. In Washington, sweet cherry utilized production totaled 142,620 tons in 2022, down 39 percent from the previous year. Value of utilized production was $408 million, down 13 percent from 2021.

Grapes
In Washington, all grape utilized production totaled 411,900 tons in 2022, up 40 percent from the previous year. Value of utilized production, at $395 million, was up 31 percent from 2021. Wine grape utilized production was 240,750 tons, up 34 percent from 2021, while juice grape utilized production was up 49 percent at 171,150 tons in 2022. The value of utilized wine grape production totaled $330 million, up 26 percent from the previous year, while the value of juice grape utilized production was $65.0 million, up 71 percent from 2021.

Pears
In Oregon, pear utilized production was 198,280 tons in 2022, down 5 percent from the previous year. Value of utilized production was $90.8 million, down 14 percent from 2021. In Washington, pear utilized production totaled 284,450 tons in 2022, down 4 percent from 2021. Value of utilized production was $160 million, up 1 percent from 2021.
