This allows them to track the progress of their goods in real time. “This system gives complete visibility of the container in a digital environment. Thanks to this device, the user can access a lot of information, including when the container is open, for how long, whether someone has placed goods in the container, and if it has been stolen. Other information about the transport conditions is also reported, such as humidity and temperature. This data is recorded every 15 minutes to provide true traceability, which our clients really appreciate. Shipping companies want to offer better equipped containers to their clients, and any professional of the sector can now have access to this service. “Our company is financed by shipping companies who see an interest in offering this type of service to their clients, as it helps them fight illicit trafficking for example. But before all companies can permanently equip all their containers, which should be the case within 5 to 10 years, it is possible for importers to access our trackers temporarily for a very modest cost since the device associated with the proposed service amounts to only 35 USD per shipment. In other words, once arrived at the destination, the device is removed and placed on another container if needed, a manipulation that can be done about ten times since the battery lasts for quite a long time.”
