The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa) has released a list of agricultural products that will have discount bonuses from the Price Guarantee Program for Family Agriculture (PGPAF). The producer receives the bonus when the value of his crop is lower than the reference price, allowing a discount on the payment or amortization of the installments of financing in Pronaf.
The foods with discount bonuses in rural credit operations and installments are: pineapple, banana , cultivated natural rubber, cultivated cocoa (almond), cashew nut, cowpea, orange and castor bean (berry).
The highlight of October is the banana that received both the highest and the lowest bonus granted: 47.02% in Pernambuco and 0.47% in Ceará. In comparison with the month of September, cowpea beans, in Amapá, were included in the bonus list; and castor bean, in Ceará. Açaí in Acre, on the other hand, had higher prices in September and, therefore, is not included in this month's bonus list. There were no changes regarding the other products and locations.
Prices are valid from October 10, 2022 to November 9, 2022, according to Ordinance No. 37, of the Agricultural Policy Department. The ordinance takes effect on October 10.
