Francesca Wagner - Romeo's Best:

“We have had fantastic growing conditions this year, and so far, demand is exceeding supply"

The grape harvest in Queensland's Far North started at the beginning of July. This is the sole supply of domestic Australian grapes at the moment, it comes from Romeo's Best, who grow ARRA Sweeties™ varieties from GRAPA. The company grows table grapes on 1200 hectares and has one of the longest supply periods in Australia.

"This is a very robust variety which works well in the climatic conditions at this time of the year. Our customers were looking for Australian-grown grapes as consumers prefer the Australian-grown fruit," said Francesca Wagner, Executive General Manager at Romeo's Best. "We will start with Sweet Globe™ in mid-August."

"We have had fantastic growing conditions this year, and so far, demand is exceeding supply."

The ARRA Sweeties™ season runs from July to October.
