Lebap farmers surpass potato production targets

The farming community in Lebap, Turkmenistan, velayat has cultivated and harvested over 19,600 tons of potatoes across 1,400 hectares, surpassing state-established production goals. The yield has reached over 140 centners per hectare.

In the Charjev etrap, potatoes were grown on 500 hectares, yielding more than 7,000 tons. The Danev and Sayat etraps produced 4,200 tons from 300 hectares. Meanwhile, the Kerki and Halach etraps delivered 2,107 tons from 150 hectares and 1,822 tons from 130 hectares, respectively.

This crop hits the market at prices accessible to consumers, with a portion allocated to Miwe's specialized cold storage facilities, enabling year-round availability of environmentally friendly potatoes.
