Russia spent over $371M on peach and nectarine imports in 2024

According to data from the United Nations trade platform Comtrade, Russia imported more than 361,000 tonnes of peaches and nectarines in 2024, spending over $371 million in total.

The largest supplier was Turkey, which shipped 161,700 tonnes of fruit worth $159.6 million to Russia.

Uzbekistan ranked second with 86,600 tonnes worth $80 million, followed by Azerbaijan with 54,800 tonnes totaling $67.1 million.

The top five also included:

  • Georgia: 22,200 tonnes ($26.3 million),
  • China: 17,900 tonnes ($20 million).

Other countries in the top 10 were:

  • Kazakhstan: 6,400 tonnes,
  • Serbia: 3,300 tonnes,
  • Armenia: 2,800 tonnes,
  • Chile: 1,800 tonnes,
  • Netherlands: 1,100 tonnes.

Tajikistan showed the largest year-over-year increase in exports to Russia, with volumes rising 3.1 times compared to 2023. In contrast, Armenia significantly reduced its exports by 70% (a 1.7-fold decrease).
