The Organic Produce Summit has announced some updates to the Summit's programming. The Summit is designed to bring together organic fresh produce growers, shippers, and processors with retailers and buying organizations from across North America. The ninth annual event will be held July 9-10 at the Monterey Conference Center in Monterey, CA.
The event's confirmed education sessions include the influential voices from the organic produce industry who will share insights to help attendees sharpen their business strategies and stay ahead of what's next.
- The State of Organic Produce–keynote: Attendees will gain fresh insights into untapped sales opportunities and changing supply economics. Explore the latest trends and innovations shaping the organic produce industry with Meagan Nelson, VP of retail & distributor growth, SPINS and Jeff Huckaby, CEO, Grimmway Produce Group.

- The Pros & Cons of Private Label & Branded Organic Produce: Learn what consumers are looking for and how to strategically position organic packaged produce—whether branded or private label—for maximum success. Explore this topic with Victor Savanello, vice president of merchandising & business development, Katzman Distribution; Frances Dillard, vice president of marketing, Driscoll's; Dennis Payne, director of merchandising, produce & floral, The Fresh Market; Andy Smith, senior director of produce & floral merchandising, SpartanNash; Heather Fuller, vice president of sales, Braga Fresh Family Farms.

Retailers will also be able to experience organic farming up close at the Summit. Retail attendees have the exclusive opportunity to participate in a field tour to visit and connect directly with organic farms.
