Guillaume Angilbert, Oliver

"For the last 2-3 weeks, we have been satisfied with the quality of the ginger"

Import company Oliver, present at the Rungis market, is offering Brazilian and Chinese ginger for sale. "We receive fresh Brazilian ginger by boat or by plane, and we also have Chinese ginger," explains Guillaume Angilbert.

The offer is satisfactory in terms of both volume and quality. "We had a dip in quality a few weeks ago, but we have been receiving some very good batches for the last 20 days." In terms of consumption, ginger remains a product that sells well all year round. "Sales are fairly fluid, and prices remain stable. If we compare the prices of the two origins at the same time last year, prices are equivalent, within a few cents. All in all, the market remains fairly well balanced."
