According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, the value of exported hazelnuts has increased by 37%.
From August 1, 2024, to January 26, 2025, Georgia exported 12,200 tons of hazelnuts worth $73.3 million. Compared to the same period last year, export volume grew by 1,700 tons (17%), while export value increased by $19.7 million (37%).
During this period, the average export price of hazelnuts rose by 17%, reaching $6.01 per kilogram.
The ministry reports that Georgian hazelnuts are mainly exported to EU countries, including Italy, Germany, Spain, France, Poland, Czechia, and Lithuania. Additionally, exports were sent to Armenia, China, Turkey, Israel, Russia, Ukraine, and other countries.
