The Italian company Zetapack will be demonstrating its machine, which sorts and weighs vine tomatoes and grapes with extreme care, during the Madrid trade fair.
"We know very well how important it is to treat certain products with care," said Nicola Antonacci and Arianna Zammarchi, representing Zetapack. "With our latest weighing machine, we can ensure the maximum respect for the product."
"Packaging tomatoes on the vine has always been an expensive and slow process," says Antonacci. "In most cases, the operators each stand in front of a scale on which each tray is weighed one by one until a certain weight has been reached. As a result, this system can lead to a less homogeneous package in terms of weight, as well as to a certain percentage of giveaways. "

The aim of the C1 LUX is to achieve the specified weight, which makes the operator's work easier. "In fact, in addition to the careful handling of the vegetables or fruits, the other fundamental aspect is to achieve the desired weight," adds Antonacci.
How does the Zetapack C1 LUX work? "An operator fills the tray with a specified amount of product. The tray is automatically weighed, after which the sorting machine adds the missing amount of cherry tomatoes in order to reach the guaranteed minimum weight per tray".
This specific amount of product, which travels over the cups of the grader, is discharged to a funnel, which in turn discharges the berries to the side of the corresponding basket.

"Finally, an operator at the end of the line places this additional product in the appropriate trays. The trays then continue their journey on the conveyor belt. Our machines can be connected to any kind of packaging machine or flow pack machine."
So far, we have already delivered to Spain, France, Hungary, and, in Italy, especially Sicily.
"For a detailed explanation and to see the machine in action, we invite everyone interested to come and see us at Fruit Attraction in Madrid (stand 10 B25). You can also contact us using the contact form below."
