Wednesday 7th of June is the last day of this year's Hort Connections Conference and Trade show in Adelaide. The trade show floor was less busy than yesterday as delegates attended the speaker sessions which ran concurrently, but there still plenty of networking going on the halls.
Brett Fifield, CEO at Hort Innovation opened up this morning's session by saying he was there to listen to what growers need. He spoke about how Hort Innovation is reshaping its approach in how it engages with the industry and how the grower's levies will be invested into the industry.

Hon. David Littleproud, Leader of the Federal National Party began by thanking the industry for continuing to feed Australia during the global pandemic and by saying how it was his job to make sure that regional agriculture has a voice in Government. He also spoke about the labour shortage and water security.
Ben Hoodless, Interim Chief Executive IFPA gave an overview of the State of the Industry Future Trends Report which was followed by a panel session.
Tony Hunter, Global Food Futurist Speaker gave a presentation on the technology and consumer trends revolutionising the industry. There were also presentations under the heading Supply Chain and Consumers and Growing and Farming.
The event will be rounded off with a gala dinner and the much anticipated Horticulture Awards for Excellence 2023.
