Princess visits Tongan fruit pickers in Tasmania

This weekend, princess Angelika Lātūfuipeka Tuku’aho, Tonga’s High Commissioner to Australia, visited Tongan fruit pickers at the Costa Berry Farm in Devonport, Tasmania. The princess wanted to see for herself the important work carried out by not only our fruit pickers but those from other Pacific Islands. After observing the process, she joined one of the Tongan groups to pick, pack and process the raspberries for the shops. There are some 600 Tongans working in several groups at this farm, stated Tonga's Mission in Canberra today.
