Harvest House and ZON fruit & vegetables have taken a collaborative step for day trading in the Netherlands. The cooperatives have agreed to work together to sell TOVs at the ZON auction from March 24, 2023. Harvest House will supply these tomatoes.
The proposed merging of forces means these cooperatives can jointly serve the market optimally. That fits in with both their goals of optimizing Dutch day trade results.
Last year, ZON invested in the latest auction system (including a remote buying system) called KOSMOS and is opening up its digital auction room as a platform to collaborate with other organizations.
"Last year, we also partnered with Kompany to auction cucumbers and fall tomatoes. That will continue this year. We're gradually growing into a digital day trading platform," says ZON fruit & vegetables' director John Willems.
