Kiwifruit Tech Talk Breakfast rescheduled

Felix Instruments, a pioneering technology company, is pleased to announce the rescheduled Kiwifruit Tech Talk Breakfast event will be held on April 12th, 2023 after its postponement due to Cyclone Gabrielle. This event, hosted in tandem with Start Afresh – The Horticultural Innovators, will bring together industry personnel from the kiwifruit sector to explore the F-751 Kiwifruit Quality Meter, which uses NIR technology to enable non-destructive and rapid maturity testing.

The F-751 Kiwifruit Quality Meter provides growers and packers with an accurate and efficient tool for assessing the Brix content of kiwifruits. Doing so improves the overall quality of the fruit and optimizes the assessment of crop maturity and fruit loads.

Felix Instruments says the F-751 Kiwifruit Quality Meter provides growers and packers with an accurate and efficient tool for assessing the Brix content of kiwifruits.

The breakfast event will feature a keynote presentation by Galen George, director of applied science at Felix Instruments, who will present the latest results of the company's collaboration with New Zealand partners over the past three-plus years. Attendees will also witness live on-site demonstrations, get hands-on time with the device and network with peers from the industry.

"We are delighted to host this event, which promises to be a valuable opportunity for kiwifruit industry personnel to learn about this cutting-edge technology," said George. "By improving quality and efficiency while reducing reliance on destructive lab testing, this technology has the potential to benefit the industry as a whole."
