Oliver Knop has joined Fyffes as Managing Director of its German business, including Inter Weichert, a Fyffes wholly owned subsidiary.
Knop is an experienced consumer goods company chief executive, with a focus on grocery and specialised trade. He has almost 30 years of experience in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, beginning his career in the 1990s at Procter & Gamble. Knop spent over 15 years at the US multinational Colgate Palmolive, where he was promoted to General Manager of Hill’s Pet Nutrition in 2008 after assignments in New York, Geneva and Paris. Prior to Fyffes, he was General Manager for the Italian coffee roaster Lavazza’s German business.
At Fyffes, he will be responsible for the integration of the long-established fruit importer Inter Weichert into the Fyffes concern and for the further expansion of Fyffes in the grocery segment.
