Potato Storage Insight addresses rising potato storage costs

Recently, Potato Storage Insight issued some good advice on dealing with the continuing battle against rising storage costs. In March, there will be a PSI Potato Store Managers’ Course, which already has attracted interest from across the country and overseas.

Adrian Cunnington from Potato Storage Insight recently stated: “Some producers in the UK are having to deal with up to four fold increases in storage energy costs with little or no improvement in returns. It is simply not a sustainable position even for those who are making every effort to get their stores running more efficiently.”

That is why Potato Storage Insight will be running a two-day, residential Potato Store Managers’ Course on 15/16 March 2022 at Retford, Nottinghamshire.

“This is a participative course for growers and store managers who are involved in the day-to-day management of potato stores,” says Cunnington. “The course follows a format that’s tried and tested by the tutors and will include talks, group discussions and practical interactive sessions, focusing on all aspects of potato storage.”
