Jonathan Chiavassa, Maf Roda:

“Our packaging machines bring real added value in terms of hygiene”

The team of MAF RODA AGROBOTIC attended SIVAL this year in order to present its range of automatic packaging machines. These include the Fast Pack, a robot that packs fruits such as apples and peaches/nectarines. For the apples, this unitary robot places the fruits in trays with a color orientation on the upper side and according to their peduncular axis,” explains Jonathan Chiavassa, the company’s sales manager France. “With this solution, it is possible to work in one or two rows, directly on cellulose trays.”

This year, the Fast Pack Double will also be available, integrating 2 Fast Packs in a single frame, for peaches and apples.

The Line Pack is another automatic robotic packaging solution developed by Maf Roda Agrobotic over the last ten years. “This robot allows single-caliber packaging for apples in one-row packages with all types of cells, or in two-row packages with cellulose cells. Unlike the Fast Pack, the Line Pack has sensors to control the external and internal quality of the fruit in order to respond perfectly to the customer's request for optimal sorting of these products.”

These are all interesting solutions in a context where labor is becoming scarce and the sanitary situation encourages the reduction of fruit handling by operators. “Our machines are even more popular since the Covid crisis because the products can be packed without being touched by anyone during the sorting and packaging process. This gain of time, quality and hygiene is particularly interesting and unavoidable nowadays.”

Another non-negligible advantage of these two machines is that they have been entirely designed by Maf Roda Agrobotic. “This allows us to have complete control over the manufacturing process and to offer responsive and efficient customer service over time.”
