Brazil and UK sign agreement to avoid double taxation

Brazil and the United Kingdom signed a double taxation agreement recently to provide relief and promote trade and income in both countries.

It is touted as the most significant development in trade between the two countries since they started talking about it in 2017. Double taxation makes trade more expensive while creating challenges for cross-border work. The new agreement will provide tax certainty, and lead to mutual investment and benefits for Brazil and UK.

Companies and individuals on both sides will have more certainty, face less costs and long-term trade will be improved.
