Chile truck strikes continue, new disagreement between truckers and government arise

Failed talks between the Chilean Government and striking truck drivers sees the strike continue yesterday (Sunday).

The Government by way of the Ministry of Interior said their government is not in a position to use public resources in a private matter. Some unions agreed to proposals last week, but others are holding out.

Truckers are striking to have diesel prices lowered and also for increased safety on roads following attacks on drivers and goods on key routes linking the interior to the coasts of the country.
