China's big vegetable production area works on securing supply

The major vegetable production area in the Shangdong Province of China, Shouguang, sees a daily supply of 10.000 tons produced by cooperatives. These produce are sent from Shouguang to other cities and help to alleviate shortages brought on by the many lockdowns, ensuring minimum delays and thereby securing supply.

Shouguang is one of China's main vegetable-supplying areas. They work hard to limit Covid exposure for producers and drivers. They accept pre-orders, load trucks, and ensure the 4.5 million annual tons of vegetables reach the wide network of buyers in other provinces.
