About 200 tons of apples will soon be transported with drones from orchards in remote and inaccessible areas of the Kinnaur district.
Apple boxes will be lifted by drone to the main road, saving on time and labour. The remote twin villages of Rohan Kanda and Chota Kanda has no road due to the mountains and hills, but now the just over 10 00 hectares of apple orchards will soon have a reliable service to transport the boxes to the main road to reach markets quicker.
