Silvia Piezzi is no stranger to many in the Dutch fruit trade sector. This Argentine entrepreneur was with Cesil Import & Export, in the Netherlands, for many years. More recently, she has been active mainly from Argentina, exporting Latin American fruit.
"We're currently exporting Peruvian limes," says Silvia. "I send about five containers per week, and Davis Europe takes care of sales from the Netherlands."
For now, most limes still come from Brazil and Mexico. But, according to Silvia, the quality of the limes from Peru can help them stand out well on the market.
"The market's good at the moment," she continues. "We sell the limes under our Celestéé brand, and we see that customers eagerly return for more of these grass-green limes."
"Our supplier has 200 hectares of limes that we can supply year-round. Perfect for providing the Netherlands with the vitamin C they'll need in the coming time," Silvia concludes.
