Attendance was very high right from the beginning, with foreign operators and a lot of technical stands showcasing the local territory, one of the most specialized in the world when it comes to professional apple cultivation.

Figures are clear: 490 exhibitors from 20 countries, over 16,000 visitors, 800 attendees to the Congress days and 500 participants in the Interpoma Tours. A lot of buyers came from the leading apple producer countries in the world - France, Japan, New Zealand, Poland and the US.

Interpoma Award 2022 was organized by Fiera Bolzano in collaboration with the Faculty of Sciences and Technology at the University of Bolzano and SOI, Società di Ortoflorofrutticoltura Italiana. It focused on innovative technologies that help manage water in apple orchards and enable the saving of water while improving yields or the quality of the fruits. A jury of international experts presided by Prof. Massimo Tagliavini assessed the candidates and selected two winners in the company/individual and startup categories.

Interpoma Tours enables operators and the press to take part in guided tours of the facilities of leading apple producers to see the most innovative systems. Ten tours were organized during the three days, some of which dedicated to organic production and sustainability.
