Rungis: A new logistics platform for Metro

“Metro France is investing in the future for the entire sector,” explains Pascal Peltier about the new logistics platform of Metro on the Rungis market, inaugurated on November 9th. With a surface area of 15,000 m² and the latest equipment, the new facilities will group the sectors of fruit, vegetables, dairy, cheese and charcuterie. “A new asset to continue our actions in favor of food sovereignty and safety.”

Pascal Peltier, general director of Metro France, Marc Fesneau, French minister of Agriculture, and Stéphane Layani, president of Semmaris, at the inauguration of the new Metro platform in Rungis on November 9th.

This move is part of a larger change undertaken by Metro to optimize its warehouses with the opening of new sites and the renovation of existing sites, in order to make them more efficient and sustainable.
