Short supply of onions, potatoes cause price increases on Nagpur wholesale market

Due to heavy rains damaging onion and potato crops in India, the shortage in supply has caused price increases on the Nagpur wholesale market.

Over the past 15 days the prices have increased from Rs 28 per kg ($0.34) to Rs 30 per kg ($0.37). Potatoes prices have gone from Rs 23 ($0.28) to Rs25 per kg ($0.30).
