In week 40, average wholesale prices of bananas from Latin America were at €110/100 kgs in the Netherlands. Prices in Belgium stood at €96/100 kgs, while Italians paid €128/100 kgs and the French paid €111 per 100 kgs.
Average wholesale prices of bananas produced within Europe stood at €181/100 kgs in Spain. Prices in the Netherlands came in at 100 per 100 kgs, while the French paid €123/100 kgs.
The EU weighted average price of bananas produced within Europe (UK price excluded) stood at €144 per 100 kgs.
