European peach prices Week 39 at €114 per 100 kgs

European peach prices in Week 39 stood at €114 per 100 kgs, which is a 31 percent rise on the 5-year average. It is still a 18 percent drop compared to the prices in Week 35.

The areas of peach and nectarine production have declined steadily for the past six years, dropping from 68,300 ha to 56,500 ha in in Italy and from 87,900 ha to 72,100 in Spain between 2015 and 2021. Only in Greece and France there was a slight increase in acreage.
