Valente Iberica was set up in 2022 as a commercial and productive point of reference for the Iberian market of Valente Srl, a company established in Italy in 1963 and a global leader in the design and manufacturing of technical solutions for orchards.
The production ranges from cement poles, which represented the beginning of the journey, to covers for all kinds of environmental threats (rain, hail, sun, insects) as well as all the tools necessary to set up a complete system. The company aims at guaranteeing the support and protection of different crops: apples, pears, peaches, cherries, kiwifruit, grapes, hops, pomegranates, bananas and citrus fruits.
It can design and set up various systems that adapt to the cultivation model chosen by clients, guaranteeing high quality and production standards.
To improve yields and safeguard crops from atmospheric and environmental threats, all orchards can be equipped with a combination various covers called ValenteProtect©.
Various types exist, all of which are multifunction. Each type of cover then has its own distinctive characteristic that makes it particularly performing and suitable for certain uses.
ValenteProtect Hail
It is a structure made up of pre-compressed concrete poles for anti-hail nets connected with steel wires and ropes tensioned using specific anchors. The net covers rows entirely to protect them in case of hail.
ValenteProtect Rain
Compared with an anti-hail system, anti-rain systems have closer intermediate poles anchored to the ground. The cover features a galvanised strip to fix it to the poles.
The anti-rain net has a three-layer structure (warp, weft and plastic) that, in addition to being waterproof, creates a diffused light that facilitates the gradual ripening of crops, thus extending harvesting.
ValenteProtect Insects
Anti-insect covers protect orchards from main insects such as Drosophila Suzukii, the so-called 'cherry vinegar fly', codling moths, which mainly affect apples, and the brown marmorated stink bug, the terrible insect that comes from Asia.
Anti-insect nets must be installed on structures and fixed to guarantee the entire closing of orchards so insects cannot enter.
ValenteProtect Sun
The system is suitable to protect V-shaped, vase or tall tree orchards. The permeability of shading nets varies between 30 and 90% and the choice must be made based on the final objective to be reached.
All structures are made with the best materials to guarantee resistance and duration over time.
