Mexican avocados kicks off with fall marketing program

To celebrate National Guacamole Day (September 16) and National Taco Day (October 4), Avocados from Mexico (AFM) is kicking off fall by inviting shoppers to celebrate with its latest shopper program, Guac N’ Tacos. Running September 5 – October 9, this program was developed to make it easy for shoppers to add avocados to their festivities. The drivers of this program include in-store activations, consumer savings and digital engagement, all working together to keep these key occasions #AlwaysGood.

The drivers of this program include in-store activations, consumer savings and digital engagement.

According to the Hass Avocado Board, AFM is a leading avocado brand available in the fall and tacos represent the majority of Mexican hand-held eating occasions. Yet less than two percent of the Mexican hand-held occasions include avocados, creating an opportunity for AFM to reinforce the combination of guac and tacos.

Because guacamole and Mexican dishes represent the top two volume driving opportunities for avocados, National Guacamole Day and National Taco Day are the perfect occasions for AFM to encourage shoppers to purchase avocados.

The Guac N’ Tacos program runs until October 9.

These occasions, coupled with the new program, are helping grow the consumption of avocados. For more info on Guac N’ Tacos, visit AFM’s digital Guac N’ Tacos celebration featuring chef Pati Jinich’s month-long cross-country tour to discover unique taco recipes.
