The right tools help save money when it comes to storage

With the current energy prices, it is essential to find the best management of storage units. Enrico Turoni is the CEO of TR in Forlì, one of the leading producers of systems to check ripening and the quality of fresh products.

"Thanks to the tools for the non-destructive management of ripening (DA-Meter), we can decide when to harvest and place fruits in units. Nowadays, even one day more on the plant and one day less in a unit can make the difference, this is why we promote tools that help choose the right moment to harvest."

In addition, Turoni reports that "by filling the units with productions having the same ripening level, storage is more efficient, thus saving money when it comes to energy costs."

TR Turoni is part of Cermac and, thanks to the consortium, it manages to reach even those markets that are difficult to reach alone. The company will attend both Fruit Attraction in Madrid and Interpoma in Bolzano.

It recently also presented an automatic grader that facilitates the work of operators. It is a new universal grader to measure fruits and vegetables. "Our new grader, whose patent request has been validated by the Ufficio Italiano Brevetti e Marchi, makes measuring quicker as operators can hold the product with one hand and use the tool with the other."
